Happy New Year!

Today is finally a new slate after 365 full days.
2015 seems like an odd number but I have realized that every year it will be the same just because I refuse to believe the actual time of being and well, getting older. I have got a few (possibly wise- I'm not sure if I am able to be considered wise yet) things to address in order to help you get through 2015 and maybe life in general.

  1. This year is the year to be encouraging to yourself and others: smile. I feel like life seems a little less cloudy for me, but maybe that's just me. I mean, you should smile every single day, but this is the year to REALLY look at yourself in the mirror, realize that your smile is the smile you're going to have forever, and make use of it! As cliche as that sounds, it might help you get through some hard times. Maybe take some cute selfies while you're at it, am I right.
  2. Traveling, no matter how far you go, really is the key to happiness. Often, I write about wanting to travel and seeing new faces and places because I have been growing up in such a monotonous lifestyle with such dull people. Maybe you might feel that way too? I have found that whenever I go out for a walk, even just a little walk, I feel much more in contact with myself, which initially, is much better because then that's when I feel like I can strive higher and achieve more things. It's just a state of mind I wish I was always in. I feel like maybe this year I might be able to travel somewhere far-fetched, but who knows! Walk more, talk more, see more!
  3. Become familiar within yourself. Maybe you'll become familiar with something, such as a hobby or a fresh and new type of interest, I think this year might be a year where you're able to wander upon different things, but you never know unless you actually discover what you truly want to be and do.
  4. Expand your mind. This year I will definitely will be doing this, as a writer, because obviously that's what I strive for every day, to become more multifarious in vocabulary and ideas in it self. I want to become a more stylized writer, but I will have to work tediously for something extraordinary such as that. But I think if I open my mind to this proposition, I can. Allow yourself to soak in a lot of new material and become a more diverse person, mentally.
  5. Just because it is your past, does not mean you should disregard it. Often, people take the new year as a time to let go of their mindset: they believe they're going to be a completely different person. Most of the time those people are the people who end up being the same. What I believe in is: reviewing how you were in the past year, taking that, and improving from that. Instead of being scared of bringing your past, lead yourself to a better state by using that as a sort of reference. Do not try to be a completely different person, just try to be a better person.
Although I gave you some steps to think about, you should think within your own self and think of what you think is best for you. There are things such as New Year's resolutions because people want to change, and that really is an attainable thing.

HAVE BOLD OPTIMISM AND EVERYTHING GOOD WILL BE YOURS.
